Once enabled for a meeting, AI Companion can answer questions in real-time for meeting attendees, such as:
- Was my name mentioned?
- What topics have been discussed?
- Are there any action items?
- What are my takeaways?
- When did Rick say he wanted to meet again?
It can also provide a meeting summary, identify key points and action items, as well as next steps.
More about AI Summaries
The AI Summary generated by Zoom's AI Companion can be found on the Zoom Web Portal; just click "Meeting Summary."

What to Keep in Mind
Only the meeting host will receive the summary (which can be shared with other meeting attendees). We recommend proofreading all summaries before sharing.
An AI Summary is not recommended for every meeting. Remember that anything transcribed is considered University record and has a retention period of two years.
Next time, we'll dive further into AI Companion, so stay tuned for more tips that put the power of technology at your fingertips!
