The Procurement Transformation project continues to move forward, reimagining how UVA sources, contracts, and partners with suppliers to create a simpler, more transparent, and mission-aligned process.

We’re taking a deliberate, steady approach to ensure each step supports the needs of our schools and units, our suppliers, and the University as a whole.

Recent milestones include:

• Expanded Infrequent Payee Pilot: Following successful early testing, more schools and units are now participating in the pilot of the new Workday module that simplifies payments to individuals with short-term or infrequent relationships with the University.
• Workday Strategic Sourcing Pilot: A small pilot group has begun testing this new tool, which will streamline supplier engagement and improve sourcing transparency.
