Kris Harrison joins UVAFinance as Senior Financial Analyst

Welcome Kris!

Kristopher (Kris) Harrison recently joined the UVAFinance team as a Senior Financial Analyst, bringing with him nearly a decade of experience in data analytics, financial modeling, and strategic decision-making. With a background in economics and extensive experience working with data to help organizations understand performance and plan for the future, he is excited to bring his analytical expertise to UVA in a new capacity.

Harrison earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Virginia in 2017. While at UVA, he developed an interest in data analytics that influenced his career after graduating, where he spent several years working in data analysis and marketing. Across the organizations he worked for, Harrison developed data visualizations, financial models, sales forecasts, and reporting tools for clients and stakeholders. 

At UVAFinance, Harrison is looking forward to applying his previous experience in a new setting, while taking on the challenge of working with data on a larger scale. He says he was also drawn to the opportunity to move beyond marketing and use his analytical skills in a role that feels personally fulfilling. As a Senior Financial Analyst, he will bring his expertise in data analysis and reporting to support informed financial decision-making across the University.

Outside of work, Harrison enjoys skiing, golfing, frisbee, and playing chess. He's lived in Los Angeles and Colorado but is happy to be back in Virginia and connected to UVA once again. Please join us in welcoming him to the UVAFinance team!
