Open a Report While Maintaining a List of Reports

Suppose you're looking at the list of Spotlight Reports (or any other list of reports) in Workday and you identify a specific report you want to investigate. In that case, you can look at the identified report without losing the current list of reports.  Just right-click on the report and select "See in New Tab."
