Great News: Your Quartzy Subscription is Free for Another 3 Years!

Another 3 free years!

Quartzy, a popular program that UVA labs use for Inventory Management, has generously agreed to provide free subscriptions for the entirety of UVA for another three years.

In 2023, we negotiated two years of free subscription while other public entities pay fees, alongside a discounted rate for the years 3-5, a $250 credit for each lab, and free onsite training sessions following the punch-out implementation. Last year, we also negotiated and implemented the free shipping and handling. 

This new agreement with Quartzy provides the labs an additional three years of free subscription to their Inventory Management System, which is a significant cost-saver for UVA. The value of the subscription is $150 annually per user, and with 1,444 total users at UVA (of which approximately 1,000 are active), this results in savings of $150,000 per year, and $450,000 over the next three years! By purchasing scientific supplies from Quartzy last year, we saved about $167,000 in product cost, and $20,000 on shipping and handling fees from the negotiations.
