Jill Simpson has joined UVAFinance after spending time with UVA Facilities Management as the Executive Assistant to the AVP/CFO, doing project-based work across all FM units.
The UVAFinance team is thrilled to have her as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Finance and Simpson is looking forward to the dynamic work UVAFinance manages.
"I have only been here for a week but know my work will entail advanced and diversified support to the VP while collaborating across the organization, working internally and externally with constituents," she shares.
Simpson is focused on learning and getting to know the team and is up for all the challenges, "I think with any new job there is a large transfer of knowledge and a learning curve getting up to speed. That is probably an immediate hurdle, but I look forward to the challenge!
So far, Simpson is loving her new role, the fast-paced environment, and the people.
"It appears to be a collaborative environment with a lot of support. The teams I have met so far have been great!" she says.
Outside of work, Simpson enjoys traveling, running, cooking, a multitude of outdoor activities, and most of all spending time with family and friends.
