UVAFinance in Action

UVAFinance's Amanda Lockhart Davis recently proved her professional expertise by obtaining her Accredited Payables Manager certification through the Institute of Finance and Management.

The certification involved completing coursework and passing an exam encompassing Leadership, Internal Controls, the A/P Process, Tax and regulatory, Vendor Management, Travel and Expense, Process Improvement, and Technology and automation.

The Supplier Diversity Team has been very busy this summer, representing UVA at two vendor events within three weeks:  First, the RVA LinkUP Expo, and then the Business Opportunity Conference, both in Richmond. Thanks to Mark Cartwright, Lorie Strother, Shannon Wampler, and Ajoni Wynn-Floyd for dividing and conquering these events!  Syd Dorsey, former UVA BOV member and current powerhouse of small business development was also on hand in Richmond.

Danae Polemi and Chailey Hench of the Travel & Expense Team attended the Global Business Travel Association Conference held in Dallas last week.  GBTA is the premier global event for the business travel industry.
