Connor Finn Joins UVA Finance

Connor Finn has joined UVA Finance as an international tax analyst. In this role, he will work directly with international students on tax-related questions, helping students understand which forms they need to file, how to complete them, and what steps to take next, reducing uncertainty around a process that can feel unfamiliar. When a student contacts Ask Finance regarding international tax, Finn is the person who responds and walks them through the process.

Originally, Connor Finn moved from California to Virginia for college. Four years later, he has established both a professional and a personal life in the area. Finn says the sense of community and access to the outdoors have made Charlottesville, Virginia, a place he is proud to call home.
After graduating from Liberty University, Finn began his career at an accounting firm, where much of his work was conducted behind a desk on a screen. While the role provided valuable experience, he found himself seeking an opportunity that would allow for more direct client engagement.

Outside of work, Finn enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring Virginia’s mountain trails through hiking and mountain biking. One of his more memorable outings included reaching the top of a mountain with a group of friends just as a storm rolled in, sending them back down in heavy rain. Experiences like these, along with the occasional unexpected wildlife sighting, are part of what Finn enjoys most about spending time outside.

Looking ahead, Finn is eager to continue growing at UVA within a collaborative, mission-driven environment. He looks forward to building strong relationships across the Finance community and contributing to a culture centered on service and shared purpose.
