Last spring, UVA launched a punchout catalog with Quartzy, a lab inventory management platform and scientific research supply marketplace (read more on the blog). In that time, we have purchased almost 6,000 items from them. As a result of negotiating by our buyers in PSDS, Quartzy will now provide free shipping with no order minimum.
Local Lodging
As you may have heard, we now have 21 local properties on contract for lodging and conference space. This February, the Services and Athletics Commodity team held a contract kick-off meeting for Local Lodging. TravelUVA and the Sourcing team worked together to talk about the new contracts, how to view the contracts, procedures for booking rooms, and other best practices with the 21 newly awarded hotels and major departments across Grounds.
