Chris Peper Appointed as Assistant VP for Financial Planning & Analysis

We’re very excited to share that Chris Peper has recently been appointed Assistant Vice President for Financial Planning & Analysis! 

Those across the University may already know Peper through his interim work with Financial Planning & Analysis. During that time, he provided strong leadership and thoughtful partnerships to schools, units, and senior leaders across UVA.

Since joining the UVAFinance Team in 2022 as Director of Budgets and Planning, Peper has become a trusted advisor and collaborator throughout the Academic Division. Drawing on more than a decade of experience in the School of Education and Human Development, where he most recently served as Senior Director of Finance, he brought a broad understanding of the University’s academic mission and operations to his work in Financial Planning & Analysis.

Over the last four years, Peper has helped strengthen budgeting and planning processes, supported strategic efforts, and fostered productive partnerships across the University. In his interim role, he successfully led the University’s budget development process while helping UVA leadership navigate essential financial priorities to position the University for continued success.
