- There are many professional development opportunities to consider. We've put together a list of programs to check out, which you can access on the UVAFinance website.
- Once you've identified an opportunity you're interested in, have a discussion with your manager to ensure that it aligns with your set goals and performance management plan. Then you can submit the Professional Development Request form for formal approval. (Need some help submitting the form? Check out our Quick Reference Guide.)
- All staff have access to centrally funded Education Benefit funds. Up to $2,000 may be used for professional development. The last day to submit an education benefit request in Workday for the 2023 calendar year is December 15, 2023, even if the program will not be completed until 2024, and if the start date is not more than 90 days from the date the request is submitted. With the never-ending tasks and deadlines facing most of us, it can be easy to forget about our own professional development. Today I want to remind you to take a moment and consider the courses, conferences, and other programs available to help you develop your skills and enhance your career.
