UVA was a major presence at this year's SWaMFest in Richmond, with 22 members of UVAFinance attending. The yearly event, which is co-hosted by all VASCUPP members, drew over 700 attendees this year, with 120 vendors on site.
In addition to networking, SWaMFest also offers small business owners a variety of professional development opportunities. This year's keynote speaker was Devon Henry, the CEO and President of Team Henry Enterprises, along with director, writer, and activist Rain Pryor, daughter of comedian Richard Pryor. Educational sessions included topics such as construction, IT, Supplier Diversity, Artificial Intelligence, RFPs and Cooperative contracts, social media, eVA software, and more.
SWaMFest will return to Richmond in 2024.
