UVAFinance's Treasury team recently welcomed Tracy Marcotte as their newest Senior Treasury Analyst. This is Marcotte's second position at UVA, as she comes to us from Facilities Management, where she was a Budget Analyst for Project Services.
Marcotte brings a wealth of experience in data analysis. As a "numbers and spreadsheets" kind of person, she says her 20-year career in finance began when she was in the army and progressed to positions in private companies and higher education.
Marcotte says she looks forward to learning more about the challenges and complexities of her new position.
"I'm very excited about working in Treasury and continuing my growth at UVA," she says. "I want to be able to provide our customers an understanding of data that is useful, actionable, and easy to understand."
When she's not knee-deep in data, Marcotte enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors. She and her husband have three grown children: a daughter who works at UVA Pharmacy and twin sons who are away at college.
Marcotte and her husband are frequent travelers, (Germany Ireland, Spain, and Portugal, just to name a few), and she enjoys preparing the new foods she's tried while traveling once she is back home. "I had the best chicken vindaloo ever in Toronto and I've been trying to recreate it ever since," she laughs.
